A Charity Cello Concert

Governor to the Loan Scheme Cellist Joely Koes and her students from Trinity Laban College of Music present an evening of cello music with pianist Irina Lyakhovskaya. 

Programme to include compelling works by Beethoven, Rubbra, Britten, Franck and exciting ensemble music including: Boogie Wonderland, Dooracht, South of the River, and American Boy 

Cellists - Maddy Hamilton, Lauren Hele, Dan Springate, Andrew Walters, Doraly Gill and Joely Koos

Wednesday 18th March at 1.30 pm in the Carole Nash Hall. Chetham's School of Music, Manchester 

A Fundraising Concert by violinist and Benslow Borrower Harry Nim

Harry started playing the violin at the age of 4 and first borrowed a 3/4 size violin from Benslow in 2012/13  size. Towards the end of 2019 he came back to the Loan Scheme and currently borrows a 1980 instrument made by Enzo Barbieri. Now 17, Harry is planning that to go onto conservatoire after finishing at Chess, most likely staying in the UK, and is looking at options including the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, RCM, RAM, Guildhall and Birmingham.
 
Harry is performing the Bruch Violin Concerto with pianist Nick Oliver and movements from the Schubert Piano Quartet with fellow students Robert White (16) Viola,, Amanda Gomez (16) Cello and Daniel Liu (16)Piano.
