Hazel began working for the scheme as Marketing and Development Officer in 2012. She has worked in music education, and as an instrumental teacher privately, and in schools, since leaving university with a B.Mus (Hons) degree and PGCE in Music.

"Working for the Benslow Music Instrument Loan Scheme is an extremely rewarding experiences for me as a musician and a teacher. I have seen first hand the difference that playing on a high quality instrument can make for a young player borrowing instruments from the scheme. By helping them in this way it is very exciting to realise that you can change their lives."

Hazel has examined for Music A Level performance, teaches the violin, viola and piano privately, and tutors on the viola for the National Children's Orchestras of Great Britain. She is also Orchestral Manager for the Kent County Youth Orchestra and Kent String Orchestra.

Married with one son and a mad musical Jack Russell called Monty, Hazel enjoys reading, patchwork and quilting, cooking, opera and theatre, cycling and walking.
